Our tank driving site is in Teesdale, County Durham, on a 1-acre field with three tracks cut through the terrain. The site is pre-book only — we do not offer walk-on days, so your group gets exclusive use of the site and staff for the session.

We have three tracks of increasing difficulty. You start on the simplest layout to learn the controls — two levers, one for each track, push forward to go and pull back to steer. Once you are comfortable, you move on to tighter turns, steeper sections and purpose-built ramps. The tanks are petrol-driven with a hydraulic track system and reach around 8mph, with a bucket seat and 4-point harness for each driver.

Every session starts with a safety briefing in our dedicated planning room, followed by helmet fitting. Our marshals then give each driver a quick tutorial on the controls before you head out onto the track. Our marshals supervise throughout and can stop any tank with a remote cut-out. Drivers must be 8 or over and able to see where they are going. Only one person per tank at a time.

The site has off-street parking, a unisex toilet and a small shelter for spectators if the weather turns. We have a limited selection of refreshments available to buy. There are no facilities for picnics or BBQs, and we ask that you do not stay beyond your session time.
