Our private weekend camping and activity experiences take place in Middleton in Teesdale, County Durham. The site is a fully private hire, giving your group exclusive use for the whole weekend.

The weekends are designed for Scout groups, Explorer Scouts, youth organisations, school groups and private bookings. Activities include mini tank driving, tag archery, bubble football and team-based outdoor challenges.

What to Expect On Site

This is a purpose-built outdoor site with a back-to-basics camping feel. Facilities are simple but practical:

• Camping: You bring and set up your own tents in open outdoor fields
• Toilets: Portable toilet facilities are provided on site
• Water: Clean water is supplied for washing and cleaning only (not drinking water)
• Food and Drink: You supply all your own food and drinks
• Cooking: A communal BBQ area is provided, but you must bring your own charcoal and cooking supplies
• Communal Marquee: For dining and evening gatherings

Friday – Arrival & Camp Setup

Groups arrive on Friday and set up their camping areas across the site. The central communal marquee acts as the main social hub for the weekend, providing a shared space for meals, games, and evening activities. This is a relaxed introduction to the weekend, helping groups settle in and prepare for the activities ahead.

Saturday – Structured Activity Day

Saturday is the main activity day, split into two sessions. Activities may include mini tank driving and a range of team-based outdoor challenges.

In the evening, groups return to the communal marquee for social time and downtime.

Sunday – Fun Activity Rotation Day

Sunday is the final day with a rotation of lighter activities:

• Tag archery
• Bubble football
• Challenge activities such as mini golf-style games
